This is the mission statement we adopted in February 1991 To produce the best quality newspaper in Zambia in order to exploit the gap in the market caused by the inadequacy of coverage of the existing press. Our audience should embrace all readers, from a business executive to a taxi driver, who desire to be informed honestly and independently of events at home and abroad. To achieve this and to ensure that we stay ahead of our competitors, we must strive to understand what it is that readers demand of a newspaper through conducting regular market research. Our political role is to question the policies and actions of the authorities and all those who wield or aspire to wield social, economic and political power over the lives of ordinary people. We shall aim to protect and promote the newly-emerging democratic political culture, in which the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals are guaranteed, through campaigning on issues that arise from our own investigations, reporting and analysis. To strive continually for higher editorial standards by closely monitoring the accuracy, balance, clarity and style of our reporting, whilst also improving on the paper's design and quality of reproduction. This demands freedom from interference, but openness to critcism and a commitment to the continuous training of our staff. To achieve these goals, most especially the protection of our independence, we must ensure the commercial viability of the newspaper. Our management style must be participative. We must all be fully aware of the competing demands on financial and other resources and the commercial consequences of our actions.

The Africa Film & Directory is arranged as Directory Listings, and Country Profiles. These can be accessed from the menus above. If you are searching for a particular name of a company or individual, the easiest way to find this by searching the Directory. Click on "Search the Directory" and select "Search the Directory" from the drop-down menu. If you want to correct information in the directory, or you want to provide new information, please email data@africafilmtv.com . If you're searching for a particular service in a particular country, please go to the Directory, and then find the category you are interested in. If you dont find that service in the country you are interested in, please look in a neighbouring country, since some media services are only provided from regional hubs. For instance, the only motion picture film processing labs in Africa are found in South Africa, where there is a diverse range of media services from satellite facilities to production services. The regional media hubs of sub-Saharan Africa are: Kenya, in East Africa, South Africa, in southern Africa, and Nigeria and Burkina Faso in West Africa. At present, this website is mainly concerned with sub-Saharan Africa. North African territories are close to Europe and the Middle East, and represent a differnet model of culture and development. This directory is intended to improve communications between film & TV people for the development of the industries in Africa, and we hope it will be very useful for this purpose. We have tried to ensure that all information is up-to-date and accurate, but do not accept responsibility for any losses arising from inaccuracies in this directory. Africa Inter-Mennonite Mission is an evangelical partnership through which North American and African Mennonite Groups are working for the sake of the Gospel. While the whole world is the object of God's love, AIMM was designed to share that love among the peoples of Africa. Organized as the Congo Inland Mission in 1912, AIMM currently has ministries in five areas of Africa among various ethnic and language groups. AIMM's focus centers on the Church in Africa. Our objective is to plant an evangelical church where it does not exist; to nurture the church where it is established; and to partner with the church in witness, worship and outreach. AIMM sends committed Christians to live, learn and serve among the peoples of Africa. We seek to have a servant's heart while recognizing our responsibilities to be stewards of the Gospel.
